In a bid to discover new talent and fill the void left by the conclusion of several popular shonen manga series, Shueisha is excited to announce the "Jump Next Generation Battle Manga Award" competition. This exciting event is open to aspiring manga creators worldwide and focuses on battle-themed manga.


Submission Period: October 1, 2024, to January 20, 2025


The competition is now open for submissions, and creators can submit their work between October 1, 2024, and January 20, 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging talent to showcase their skills and potentially launch their career in the manga industry.

To celebrate the launch of the competition, Kohei Horikoshi, the renowned creator of My Hero Academia, has drawn a special announcement illustration. The artwork features iconic characters from popular shonen manga series, including Deku from My Hero Academia, Asta from Black Clover, Ichigo from BLEACH, and Yuji from JUJUTSU KAISEN.

Series like Dandadan, Sakamoto Days, The Elusive Samurai, Mission: Yozakura Family, and Undead Unluck have been serialized for over 3 years and have either an ongoing or upcoming anime adaptation. These titles may be the next big thing in the world of shonen manga.
